February 2024 Update
Pattison Management District begins in 2024

Discussions with Thurston County on how the county and lake management districts interact are continuing but not delaying the Pattison Lake Management District Steering Committee from getting things going.

The committee’s first official meeting as a quasi-governmental group was held Jan. 24 at the Lacey Fire Department Station 33 on Mullen Road. Meetings will be held as needed on the third Wednesday of the month at the station and are open to the public.

Information on the meetings and progress on surveying, testing and treating the lake will be on the PLMD’s new website. Notes from meetings and other documents can be found there also.

The Request for Proposals for an Integrated Vegetation Management Plan, a required first step in being able to get to work on the lake has been turned over to the county, which will open it up for bids. Our goal is to get a survey started in April.

The committee has also been working on a budget to submit to the county, using budgets from existing lake management districts as guides.
